Delving deep into the US National Archives, private historical collections and educational films, the Retrofootage collection provides the history of the world in the 20th and 21st centuries. Mostly editorial in nature, clips are improved through transfers from 16 and 35mm film and enhancements such as noise reduction, colourisation, and grading.
DVArchive’s contemporary stock footage clips are hand selected by CEO and founder Rick Ray, an award winning filmmaker, editor and cinematographer. The collection comprises footage from Rick’s world travels as well as approximately 60 other contributors covering wildlife, landscape, nature and world travel along with lifestyle, political and model-released imagery.
