Country Focus: Syria
Syria is a culturally diverse country with heritage shaped by various religions, languages and traditions. Its capital, Damascus is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on Earth. The last century has been marked by political upheaval, from the French Mandate, through independence, to domination by the Assad dynasty. Since the rise of current President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, the country has shown new optimism, though tensions remain. Explore Syria.
Meet us at the Festival of Archives
FOCAL Festival of Archives is the leading event for the archive and footage licensing industry in the UK. It takes place on 16 June, with panel sessions and exhibitions by day, and a networking event in the evening. Orchard Clips will have a stand at the event. If you are attending, contact us to arrange a meeting, or secure your ticket.
Speak with us at Sunny Side of the Doc
Sunny Side of the Doc international documentary marketplace takes place in La Rochelle, France 22-24 June. It brings together filmmakers, broadcasters, and distributors and is especially important for the archive sector, promoting the preservation, value, and creative reuse of archival footage in documentary storytelling. Head of Orchard Clips, Luke Smedley will be attending. If you’re attending, arrange a meeting with him.
